The #1 PowerPoint Productivity Tool You’re Not Using! [5 second tip]
Productivity in the Ignite 360 creative ensemble is centered around moving ourselves closer to our goals and helping our project teams, organization and clients move closer to theirs. It's about freeing ourselves from the distractions of mundane tasks – so we can focus on developing deep content and narratives.
So today, we’ve got a hot tool tip that can shave hours off your total time in a program many of us use to tell our brand stories - PowerPoint.
Hello – Format Painter Tool
The Format Painter tool is used when you want to copy formatting from one item to another. For example, if you have text that you’ve formatted using a specific font type, color, and size - you can copy that formatting to another section of text by using the Format Painter tool.
As you can see in the gif above - you first highlight the formatted text, then navigate your cursor to the Format Painter Tool on the left side of your toolbar. After the pointer changes to a paintbrush, click and drag to select the shape, text, or worksheet cell that you want to format, and then release the mouse button.
Within minutes you can apply a cohesive design to an entire document.
BONUS TIP: The format painter also lives in (2) other programs you probably use daily - Word and Excel!
